Big Spring Motel

We were exhausted and desperate for a place to rest for a few hours before continuing our trip. The room could have been really nice. It was a nice size with 2 full beds. The beds were comfortable. The room, however, was DARK as not all of the lights were working. The showerhead sprayed the whole bathroom, which I'm sure contributed to the black mold on the bathroom ceiling. The floor in the bathroom was rotting out (the shower contributed to this, also). The lady who checked us in was very nice. She even loaned my husband a coffee pot from the bar. Their credit card machine wasn't working, so my husband paid with cash. They then took a photo copy (on a copy machine) of his credit card for incidentals. 🫤 There were none. Love coming to this place. Nice affordable rooms. Very clean. Great location! Nice little bar across the way with great food and drinks and a wonderful staff. Nice little get away.

Room was clean and beds were comfortable: we had four people in a double room. Able to park right outside the room, and there is a porch with tables and chairs outside. A microwave and small fridge are included. They even went out and purchased a coffee maker for our room, although you have to bring your own coffee and filters. The owners are very nice! Right now, they are only accepting cash payments, and they tell you that when making a reservation. I would certainly stay there again.

The best people we've ever met! The owner and her entire family were wonderful to us after being stranded due to an auto accident. They went way out of their way to help us! Room was clean and AC worked well. Bed was very comfortable. The food at the bar was great too. Couldn't have asked to be stranded with better people 🫶🏻

No complaints about our stay. We needed a place to sleep and shower and this fit the bill. If your looking for a big fancy place to stay don’t expect it from here for the cheap price. I think our room was $55 plus tax.It really small but clean. The shower was clean and the bed was nice and comfortable. We saw no insects and everything worked. We have no complaints and would stay here again if passing through. The owners are the bar tenders and hotel clerks. I like supporting the little guys once in a while. There is a bar on property but we didn’t get a chance to try it out.
