Big Rock Camp Grounds

I’ve been coming here for over 40 years. It always nice. It’s owned by Sugar Island, so you can always call with any questions. Family friendly with electricity options and decent bathrooms.

This is one of my absolute fave places to go. Beautiful clear water. You can go for the day or stay and camp.

This is a great place for adults. I had a blast with a couple of my friends. It is right off the river and everybody played marco polo and partied all night. I was there for memorial day weekend and it was PACKED. there were some kids there, but i personally would pick a safer spot to take my kids because there are so many steep drop offs. There are no bathrooms, just porter potties, and bring your own TP!! ;p it is pretty pricey at $8 per adult PER night. And the canoe rental to sugar island costed us quite a bit. But it was fun!

This was our first time here. We will definitely be back next summer. The kids had a blast and the water was delightfully cool.

Doesn't seem like it gets super crowded would definitely recommend for solo adventurers or small families, not a huge area so bringing RVs might be a challenge. Day time use is 5$ and camping is 16$ I think that's probably only for 1 night but I'm not sure
