Big Lake Campground

Beautiful lake! Love the view of I think Mt Washington. Lake is a good temp and not too deep either. Came on a Saturday mid June and it wasn’t packed with people. My only complaint is the mosquitos were bad! The worst I’ve ever experienced in my life. I was covered in bites and ended up having to put on cloths so they would stop. They also went for my dog who was covered in little bite bumps. It was nearly unbearable.

Great place to camp especially with little kids, the water is shallow far out so they can have a lot of fun. This is our 3rd year camping here and we absolutely love it! My sister's youngest is 3yrs old out there floating and the oldest is my 8yr old son who can touch all the way out by his raft (see photo) when he stands it's a little above his waist.

It’s beautiful but the mosquitos are relentless - it’s all day and night biting and I ain’t exaggerating. Went for a two night trip but could only bear one. If they put mosquito dunk in each campsite, I would go back.

Been camping here for 36 years every summer. The campground is beautiful, the lake is clear, and my family will be here gain next year.

Some of my favorite memories are from growing up camping at Big Lake. I spent my childhood riding dirt bikes here and swimming. Now as an adult I get to come back and make more memories with friends/family! You can never be bored here. The camp host is so nice and helpful. The vibe of the campground is friendly, everyone is always respectful of quiet hours but parties hard during the day! My one and only issue is the mosquitoes, be very prepared for them as they are relentless!
