Best Western Savannah Airport Inn & Suites

It’s BEST WESTERN BASIC, clean and great price. I was stuck in Miami since the snow storm or BLIZZARD HIT NYC. I thought why not rent a car at DOLLAR( which was crazy use HERTZ) and drive to Savannah to visit family. The key again is the price and the bang for your buck at BW. Only one complaint- I had driven there very late and needed to sleep in a few extra hours. Check out is at 11. Well that didn’t happen. There was repairs or? going on outside my room. Remember you were close to the highway. You might need to leave tv on to drown out trucks. By the way Best WESTERN in Europe are a great buy and don’t look like BWs. If you rent a car, you might want to try them. A special customer service is they print up instructions for you on room usage. NICE!

Location is the only good thing about this hotel. When my husband went to check in the guy seemed annoyed that he had to stop playing on his laptop to help someone check in. When my whole family walked through a teenager was asking him for more towels and when she said 5 he yelled "5?!" And gave her a nasty look. The lobby smells disgusting like heavy cleaner and vomit. The room smelled like smoke, the bathroom counter was not washed. They can afford a fancy mirror in the bathroom but cant afford a new shower curtain but instead pin it and it was filled with stains. The room just felt icky. We skipped breakfast and just got out of there asap.

Positive: Decent complimentary breakfast, but small items. The bagels and muffin were mini in size. Hotel is lose to the highway ( I 95 ) , but quiet.Nice new Large televisions in the rooms. Negative: Lack of luggage carts can be an issue. They only appeared to have one airport style luggage cart. I ended up having to carry everything down on my own. Apparently people may hoard the carts. However I only saw the one while at the property.

I booked this hotel to spend one night on the way to see family in North Carolina. It was not what I expected. The hotel itself is clean and the room was also clean. It has a bigger fridge and the room is spacious. It has nice blackout curtains and nice water pressure with hot water. However, the bathroom needs maintenance. The shower head and bottom faucet in the shower needed to be caulked and sealed. They were loose and about to fall off. Also, there was an old bar soap in the top corner of the shower. We took some pictures. Even though the hotel is smoke free and pet free, one of the reasons I booked it because of health issues, once the room warmed up, we could smell smoke. I liked the area the hotel was located in, but the service at this hotel was absolutely terrible. Housekeeping stole a pair of my son’s cowboy boots from our room while we were out for the morning and the front desk agent was not helpful or apologetic at all. He tried to call the housekeeper and she never answered and that was all he was willing to do. Did not check the cameras and had zero sense of urgency or responsibility. The boots had sentimental value and I was in tears and he didn’t even apologize or try to offer any sort of solution. If we weren’t only there for the weekend I would have filed a police report for the theft. So PLEASE let it be known not to allow housekeeping in your room and if they must enter your room, be sure that you put all items hidden away or in your vehicle.
