Best Western San Diego Pacific Beach/Mission Bay

I recently stayed at the Best Western in San Diego and overall had a solid experience. The hotel offers a comfortable stay with clean rooms and friendly staff who are eager to help make your trip enjoyable. Its location is one of the biggest highlights — you’re close to many of San Diego’s top attractions, restaurants, and nightlife, so it’s easy to explore the city on foot or by a short ride.  The rooms are well-maintained and offer all the basics you need for a relaxing stay, including free Wi-Fi and a complimentary breakfast in the morning. Some guests mention that certain properties feel a bit dated, so expectations around luxury should be modest, but for the price you’re paying, it’s great value. This is a great place to stay to save $ and still be convenient to all the San Diego sights. I was 15 min from Old Town and the Zoo, Mission Bay Beach, and 20 to UCSD/Torrey Pines. The room was nice and clean. Best night sleep I have had at a hotel in ages honestly. The lot is safe and well lit. Staff is very nice. Breakfast is basic but good.

The remodelled room appeared nice and the bed was comfortable. However the wood floors were very sticky and dirty with white socks or bare feet. We had booked a 3 night stay and it was freeway accessible. Sadly the construction during the night on the adjacent property was loud 2 out of the 3 nights. Our first morning we received fresh towels however nothing was cleaned nor was the bed made. The floors were terribly sticky and gross to feel. The second day no one ever came to replenish our dirty wet towels or service our room at all. When we got home that night I had to call the front desk and asked them about 9:30 pm to bring us fresh towels. Apparently the gal knocked on the wrong door so I had to call again an hour later and confirm our room number and we finally got clean

Excellent Stay — Spacious Room & Great Service! I had a wonderful stay at this Best Western! I was given a large corner room that was incredibly spacious and comfortable—much bigger than I expected. The hotel offers free breakfast in the morning, which was a great way to start the day, and there’s also a gym room for quick workouts. The housekeeping team, front desk, and lobby staff were all very friendly and helpful, making the stay even more pleasant. There’s also plenty of parking space, so no stress about finding a spot. Overall, a fantastic experience and great value. Highly recommended!

I had to stay in the hotel for 2 weeks while my dad was recovering at the VA hospital, which was less than 10 minutes away. I admit that when I pulled up and saw active construction, I was a bit worried, because I had selected it based upon price. But, it ended up to be a blessing in disguise. I wouldn’t have been able to afford a hotel that met all my needs. I felt safe in its location. It was clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, the soap, shampoo and conditioner in the shower smelled good, and the staff were extremely friendly ❤️ At a rate of less than $100 per night during the week, and not much more on Friday and Saturday, it can’t be beat. I wish the new owner and staff all the best of luck.
