Best Western Plus Medical Center Hotel

This place was incredible. I flew to TX for my mom’s emergency open heart surgery and I shopped for hotels for a long while…I wanted somewhere clean as not to take germs to icu. This hotel is immaculate! My brother and I stayed a week and it was so perfect. They cleaned the room daily and we took advantage of the gym and the on site laundry room. The breakfast was amazing too! So many choices. Healthy options, fresh fruit, eggs, granola, small cubed home fried potatoes, pancakes, bagels, biscuits and gravy, juices, hot tea, waffles, you name it they have it for breakfast! This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at while in Amarillo! I plan to always book this hotel when I come to visit my family. Great place to stay with a dog! Nice, newer hotel, much more updated style than the older motel style Best Westerns. Reasonable pet fee of $30 per dog. Hotel was quiet. While not far off the busy freeway, it is on a quieter street near medical professional buildings, with lawns, so a good area to walk your dog. Also just a block or so down the road is a great casual restaurant, Joe Taco, that was easy to walk to and dine out on the patio with our dogs.

Great hotel. Always clean, kitchen is clean and well stocked. Pancake machine works well and is always a highlight. They serve scrambled eggs and sausage. Cereal, coffee and other things. Parking is close to the building. Staff is always kind. I recognize some of them who have been there for a few years. It is always nice to see familiar faces.

Positive: The hotel looked new and well kept. It was also in a very convenient location for my needs. Negative: Cleanliness was a concern. Discovered a urine stain on the sheet upon check in as well as a dirty wash cloth hanging from the shower rod. Also, the bed was incredibly HARD! It was like sleeping on the floor! Also, front desk staff was not very friendly.

Perfect hotel to stay at! On our way from Houston to Denver and back, we stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is very well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The two most important things for me when staying at a hotel are the comfort of the bed and the cleanliness of the bathroom — and this place had both 😃 The breakfast was really good as well. It was a great choice for our family, and we would definitely stay here again!
