Best Western Plus Carpinteria Inn

Exceptional service from Mario we had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus Carpinteria Inn. From the moment we arrived Mario at the front desk was incredibly professional and welcoming. he patiently answered all our questions and went above and beyond by telling us that if we weren't 100% happy with our room, he would be happy to switch it for us immediately. It is rare to find that level of proactive service. The room was very nice and clean and we loved 24 hours coffee tea and cappuccinno station. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful and so green with plenty of trees. Even though it was raining during our stay and we couldn't explore the gardens just looking out at the lush scenery was very peaceful and nice. We highly recommend this hotel for the great service and lovely atm

This hotel had loud, out of control families and they put a $200 fee on my card without telling me. When I checked in, I asked if late checkout was available. They said past 3 pm they would have to charge me, but they could give it to me until 3.||I didn’t need late checkout – I was out of the hotel at 10 AM, but I kept the room to keep my luggage there because they had said it was no problem and I had a late flight. If they had said there was a fee I absolutely would’ve just checked out at 10 AM.||I checked my email at noon and saw a $200 fee on my card. They had charged me $200 for late check out with no notice.||The front desk suggested I call the manager and gave me “her phone number” which was the number to the front desk. My husband, baby, and I stayed at the Best Western Plus Carpinteria Inn and had such a great experience. We arrived at night and the hotel had beautiful ambience lighting that made it feel so welcoming. When we reached the front desk, Mario checked us in quickly and professionally. My husband asked for our room number and Mario kindly directed us to the key envelope instead of saying it out loud since the lobby was busy. I really appreciated that he was mindful of our safety, especially with our infant daughter. Our room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. We were hungry after settling in and even though the hotel grill was already closed, we were able to walk just a few blocks to a charming little square filled with breweries and food options. This is an excellent place to stay in this sleepy little town. Rooms are comfortable, though not fancy. No complementary breakfast, but I loved my English Muffin and oatmeal. I had a little trouble as the alarm went off in the adjacent room in midnight. But the staff was very friendly and efficient. They moved us into another room. Yes, it has a great ambience.

Positive: We had a nice room, and the hotel was a mile from the beach. Negative: The hotel is located directly next to the very busy freeway 101, and the noise from traffic was awful. They offered coffee from a machine that took a long time to brew each cup, so there was always a line. No breakfast unless you pay for it.
