Best Western Plus Agate Beach Inn

My husband and I stayed here with our baby. It was very comfortable and Jeremiah at the front desk was very polite. Also great walking distance to the beach. Our only complaint was that someone was trying to get into our room at 4:50 AM and was kind of aggressive with the door. There were no cameras on the floor we stayed on (3rd), so we just assumed it was someone who had the wrong room. Other than that, this is a good hotel.

Imagine our surprise when the front desk staff informed my husband and I that breakfast AND dinner were severed with our stay! I remarked how incredible that it was, and that I had never heard of a motel serving dinner as well as breakfast. The excitement of saving so much money on food costs was short lived when after eating dinner, we were chased down and told that dinner WAS NOT complementary. Not only that, but that there was not even a complimentary breakfast whatsoever! I feel like we were tricked into eating at the restaurant. I would NEVER have chosen to eat at the same place we were staying, as we only had 4 precious days to explore! Instead, we waisted one dinner staring at a wall! One of the best overnight stays in a long time. Every staff member welcomed us with kindness and great service. Kym who checked us in set the tone. This hotel is beautiful, very clean, and in a great location. Warm pool! Steps to a beautiful beach. Yaquina Head shines in the distance. Perfect. We will be back. Our new favorite Newport Hotel.

Positive: Beach access and location. Clean. Negative: Need more bonfire seating areas outside. They have a beautiful outdoor area overlooking the beach. Unfortunately, we were unable to use it as a large group of men were occupying the area the entire evening. Pool area needs better ventilation.

Great stay! Ample parking. The front desk staff were friendly and went above and beyond. The whole property was beautiful. The room was great as was our view.! The bed was luxurious and the tv was “sizable”! Including a nice fire pit. Access to the beach was convenient.
