Best Western Plaza Hotel Saugatuck

The fitness equipment, the pool and hot tub did not meet our expectations. Most of the equipment didn't work and there was no control to the TV. No drinking water was available in that area either.||The pool was dirty and the water level was so low you hit your feet on the bottom of the pool if you tried to swim. There were no towels until we asked for them.||There was no one at the desk. You could place a call which would alert someone who was also cleaning rooms. She would meet you at the desk fairly promptly, depending on where she was located.

Positive: The breakfast was very good, location fine, hot tub hot, and it was quite. Negative: The older man at the front desk didn't know the computer system very well. He took a long time then changed us for the room again. His son took it off ofter we came back.

VERY accommodating, helpful, friendly mgmt/family. Helping my family with our early arrival..& our family emergency departure.. & I see them treating all this way.. I always seek out a hot tub, happy to have in room.. & the suites were very comfortable and clean . Call ahead to get an great stay!!

Had to pull over and stay here during a snowstorm, didn't have a choice. There was only a handful of people here and they stuck everyone in rooms right next to each other. Didn't get any sleep because other people were talking loud as possible until 2AM. Breakfast food was not good at all, sausage was freezer burnt and rock solid. We were told the plow would be here at 5:30 for the parking lot. Its 9am and there's over a foot of snow out there. They slide your receipt under the door at unknown hours of the wee morning, how awkward is that? Beds were not comfortable, the temperature control cant hold a steady temp so youre either sweating or freezing. Thankful to have a roof over our head last night during this storm but wow this place is lanky!

Super clean rooms! Excellent helpful staff! Housekeeping works extremely hard to keep everything clean and organized. The breakfast was wonderful and such a variety of healthy food. Server was so on top of keeping the food plentiful!!! Such friendly customer service. There are hotels that could take a few tips from this hotel. We love it and will be visiting in Saugatuck a few times a year and this will be our go to place
