BeachWay Resort & Hotel

Staff was super friendly and location would have been perfect if the ferry was still in the water. Room was very clean but the bed was so bad. My husband and I felt like we were sleeping on a sheet of wood. So firm.

This place is such a vibe. Roadside motel with a cool, heated pool and pretty decent rooms. We had a little kitchenette which was really nice. Loved the touch of the grills for public use and the balcony with a table for every room!! The retro outdoor furniture was sweet. Biggest complaint isn’t even their fault at all but I was hoping to take the chain ferry to Saugutuk but it was completely closed. Didn’t love the bus system or driving when we were so close!! BUT the nature nearby made up for it. Mt bald head and oval beach and so many trails all so close. That part was great. Would stay here again!

This place was great for my family. We had everything we needed to be comfortable and that staff was really nice and helpful. Nice clean rooms. The pool was super fun for the kids and they especially liked that it glowed at night. Definitely worth a stay.

I'd like to start off by staying I didn't end up staying at the hotel. We booked our room from the car about 30 minutes away. Once we got there, we found out that the room we chose did not allow children to stay in it due to it being water adjacent. They have a pretty strict no-refunds policy and there were no managers on duty due to the holiday weekend. I emailed them on Monday explaining the situation and they were very accommodating, giving us a full refund. As a disclaimer, milage may vary and this is not a guarantee of anyone getting a refund. I just wanted to relay that the customer service was excellent and I'm happy to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Saugatuck.

We stayed in a cottage on the harbor and loved our morning coffees with the view of the boats and the breeze from the water. Because this was a mother daughter trip, we planned to use the king bed and the pull out bed in the couch… but the pull out bed was impossible to sleep on (super thin with hard springs poking out). The air conditioner kept the room cool, but it is not perfect. It was hot the moment it cycled off, so sleeping was challenging. We enjoyed the rest of the amenities, like the full kitchen and the pool. The location is very loud. You can hear the toilets in the nearby units flush, TVs at normal volume in adjoining units sound like they’re in your unit, street noise is loud—basically no soundproofing exists. Despite this, we enjoyed our stay overall and would come prepared
