Best Western Lake Okeechobee

Vīb Best Western||Unfortunately, my stay at Vīb Best Western was not a pleasant experience. Upon entering the room, there was a strong moldy, mildew-like odor that immediately made the space feel unclean. The overall cleanliness of the room was below standard and very disappointing.||The towels had visible stains, and the sheets were extremely uncomfortable and unappealing. I felt so uneasy that I went out and purchased my own sheet just to feel somewhat comfortable sleeping. I even ended up cleaning the room myself, which should never be necessary as a paying guest.||To make matters worse, I woke up with bites the next morning, which caused significant concern. Because of these conditions, I spent more time outside of the hotel than in my room, simply because it did not feel clean or safe

It was ok. The room had a slight musty smell and like everyone else has mentioned, the beds are very loud but comfortable. We stayed on a Friday night and spent about $144 which is a little high for that type of room but the breakfast was pretty good.

I chose Best Western for it's close proximity to the hospital in Okeechobee because my sister was having surgery. The room wasn't bad but the bed was horrendous. The old metal bed base was so loud when you moved it echoed into the bathroom. When you're a tired traveller, all you want is a good night's sleep...well that did not happen with the ancient bed frame and the air conditioner that sounded like the door was opening ever time it shut off. Never again...such a waste of money. I went to another hotel close by for my second night in town. I paid half the price and slept like a baby. You guys have had many many bad reviews about these beds...why aren't they fixed? Such a shame.

It was very outdated it smelt horrible like wet dog for 40 more dollars. I could’ve stayed at the Hilton, which I usually do then I put the privacy placard outside of the room and when I came back from the store, they changed the furniture that was in the room

Our two-night stay at this hotel was enjoyable. We stayed in a first-floor king-bedded room, and while the decor was somewhat dated, the room itself was very clean, and the bathroom was spotless. The exterior of the hotel was clean and well-kept, and I was impressed by the extensive amount of manicured tropical foliage surrounding the hotel. We enjoyed the sparkling swimming pool and full, hot breakfast, with something available for every taste and diet. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. Located very close to Lake Okeechobee, I recommend this mid-range hotel, whether you're just passing through or looking for a decent place to stay to enjoy the multitude of nature offerings in the area around the Lake.
