Best Western Inn & Suites San Diego – Zoo/SeaWorld Area

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing stay at the Best Western in San Diego near SeaWorld, and it was the perfect place to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The theme of embracing your inner child truly came to life during our stay, making it fun, joyful, and memorable for our whole family. We especially loved the hot tub, which was a great way to relax and unwind together. The rooms were incredibly spacious, spotless, and comfortable, giving us plenty of room to enjoy our time as a family. The staff was professional, welcoming, and kind, which made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality really elevated the experience. This place was not good. $26 to park your car in an area that doesn't warrant it. The front desk person argued with me when I told her it already fully paid for it and almost charged me for the room again. Thankfully, her manager pointed out that it was. The room was right near the elevator for breakfast so it was noisy from 7am on and I didn't get good quality sleep. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Overall, my experience was very positive, but there were some minor hiccups to consider. When I booked, Expedia said that parking was $19 a night, but when I got there, I was informed that it was actually $26 a night. This may be due to the holiday weekend, but it doesn't hurt to verify parking rates before you get there. Also, there is a lot of safe off-street parking in the area, and in the three nights I stayed there, we didn't have a single issue. If you can help, it, request a room angled away from the highway; we were facing away from the road, and we still heard some traffic noise, so I feel that it may be much worse if you're facing the highway. Positive: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hot tub and pool were good. Negative: Room was loud. We were awoken at 5:00am by super loud pipe noise. Also, I was annoyed that you could not use luggage carts without giving your photo ID to the desk. Last we had a billing problem that took 3 days to fix.

The customer service is fairly pleasant. Every now and then you'll get a disinterested employee on their phone while Manning the front desk. The rooms are decent enough. After walking around with bare feet, you can definitely see some dirt but that's to be expected. The pillows are definitely my least favorite thing. They are way too thin. My only other complaint is that first thing in the mornings, there seems to be a lack of hot water. I don't know if it's just the room that I got or what, but there have been a few times where the best I've been able to eke out is barely above room-temperature shower. The location is fine but there is nothing walking distance from the hotel, except for The Remy. If you have kiddos that insist on McDonald's or some other fast food to be prepared to cal
