The main issue I have is a breach of safety. My husband and I were away from the room for maybe an hour. Our room key was given to another guest. We only know this because I walked into our room to see their luggage on the table. As the front desk agent is with us at the room in question, the guy she gave the key to walks up. Apologies were made for the mix up but the situation was preventable and unfortunately, she kept making it worse with comments. I understand being nervous in the situation but she assumed ALL black people were traveling together and she tried the throw someone else under the bus. We’ve stayed at a lot of BW properties over the past year across the country. This BW at best is below average. While clean and recently renovated, staff is uninterested or overwhelmed. |Our room was basic. Some outlets didn’t work and the bathroom fan was shoes-in-the-dryer loud. After two calls to the front desk a maintenance person arrived. He made a couple adjustments that quieted the fan then announced “that’s the best I can do. The fan is old and we can’t get parts.” Minutes after he left the fan returned to its previous state, but just a little quieter. |Breakfast service was weak. The coffee ran out, the only yogurt choice was plain Greek (PLAIN not vanilla) and the entree for four days was a variation on sausage patties and eggs.|Some will think this is a petty review and to light

On our way home from a long road trip from Tennessee, we stopped here halfway to get some rest with our puppy. After a terrible hotel experience a few days prior, we arrived feeling pretty anxious and on edge. That anxiety disappeared quickly. From check-in, the staff was kind, accommodating, and genuinely helpful. We let them know we had a puppy, and they placed us in a pet-designated room on the first floor, conveniently located near the back doors. That made taking our puppy outside easy and stress-free, without having to walk through the front lobby each time. The room itself was a huge improvement. It smelled very clean, the sheets were clean and fresh, and the floor was fully tiled- which we really appreciated in case of puppy accidents (none happened, thankfully). Everything was

Positive: Location Negative: Filthy carpet in room that felt like lots of product had been applied to it but not removed, holding layers of dirt and grime that made feet filthy in just a few steps, hair in the bathtub and walls that were not ours. This is the room next to lobby.

Watch the room prices closely! I stayed toward the end of August and the day off the hotel lowered by room rate from 134.10 to 98.10 but would not honor the reduced rate, since the 134.10 rate was locked in through the app. Now I know hotel prices fluctuate a few dollars by the day, it seems they wanted to soak me with the original booking. I traveled 10 hours to get there, I am not going to have time to sit on the app while I am driving to monitor prices. As this is my first stay with this hotel and hotel chain, this leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and will instead take my business to other chains where I don't need to worry about if I am truly getting an honest rate. -- Point of clarification, this orignal booking was made directly through the bestwestern.com website/Best Western ap
