Best Western Colonel Butler Inn

Great hotel in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake. It's pretty much the only big chain (non-boutique or B&B) hotel near the old town centre. It's quite small, very clean and comfortable, and has excellent service. We did not try the breakfast buffet but it seemed very popular. The fitness centre is small but has the types of gear (elliptical/stepper, treadmill, recumbent bike, free weights) you would expect or need for a short stay. Our room was well appointed with mini-fridge, Keurig, and a fireplace! The jetted tub was a nice feature as well. Would definitely recommend this hotel

This was our 2nd time staying at the Colonel Butler Best Western Inn and like the first time we stayed, everything was exceptional. |The room was very clean, the hotel was very quiet and the breakfast was good. It's a great location, just a minute drive to the Niagara-on-the-Lake downtown and close to both St. Catharines and Niagara Falls. |It has become our go to place whenever we visit the Niagara Region.

Perfect for two friends visiting Niagara on the Lake. Pleasant staff, nice breakfast, and a great, low-threshold shower. There is a Tim Horton’s across the street, and a restaurant right beside the hotel. No car necessary. We did a lunch wine tour with Cellar Door tours and it was lovely. Their guide, Tim, picked us up in the lobby of the Best Western. The tour and food was wonderful. The hotel is also an easy drive/walk to downtown. We would stay there again.

The rooms are big and spacious, No complaints there There was a coffee maker and a mini fridge in the room which was a nice asset. Would've loved to have had access to a microwave. The heater is very loud when running. Had to wear earplugs plus I could hear the one from my daughter's room next door when hers was turned on. Those are my only complaints. Food is close by, The location is about 25 to 30 minutes to Queen Street where there are some nice little shops. The staff at the front desk was pleasant upon checking in. Even got some welcome cookies 🍪. Would recommend.

Incredibly clean and spacious room. Very nice breakfast. Short walk into town. Excellent price. Our go to when we visit, as long as it's not already booked. Nice front porch to play games or have a drink.
