Benson Guest House

Our overnight stay at the Benson Guest House was a wonderful alternative to the usual hotel. Our room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. It is recently remodeled and is very nice. We clearly had more room than the average hotel provides. The guest rooms are arranged so that three of them open to a community breakfast/snack area for your use. Outside is a large table in the courtyard for group gatherings. So this is a perfect arrangement for families or groups. It is located in the heart of Uvalde, very convenient.

We came from north of Houston. We had reserved a hotel room at days inn and when we got into town to check in, we found out that the hotel we reserved only had us down for one night and they had no tv. She responded quickly and had us a room available immediately. Beautiful place , very quiet, which we didn’t expect because it was off a busy road. You couldn’t hear any traffic. It was very peaceful, cozy and comfortable. I will definitely reserve this place again when we come back

Decided to stay here instead of a hotel while traveling for work and I’m so glad I did! The room was adorable and very cottagecore, I loved it! AND as soon as I unpacked, I walked to downtown shops and dining. The location could not have been better. I will definitely be back!

We had a very nice time. The rooms were wonderful, the staff was pleasant and helpful, the bed was very comfortable. We would go back.||Yes, there is road noise but we kept the AC fan on and it helped drown out the noise. We were also there during the week, so the noise from the bar/restaurant nearby was never an issue. If you are sensitive to noise, then a weekend stay might cause more problems.||The internet was fine, the TV options were fine...mostly streaming (it took us a while to realize the volume button for the TV was on the side-edge of the remote). The location was convenient and the parking was right behind the building. ||They mentioned breakfast options, but that was really a few breakfast bar options and a couple of cereals. I run a non profit and visit Uvalde twice a year for that reason. I’ve stayed here 5 times and one week before my trip, I was told my reservation was canceled due to overbooking. The owner was rude and not helpful. I will never be staying here again, even though I love the location.
