Beach Place

The room was old, worn and not clean. It doesn't get cold in Miami often, but there was no heat in the room. The lobby smelled of mold, the room, a very bad cleaner smell. The bed was comfortable, but small. The room coffee machine didn’t work. Coffee was $2.50 a cup in the lobby and was horrible. There is trash on the ground all around. There is NOTHING to eat or drink within easy walking distance. To get to the beach, you walk thru a dark and shady "park". Find somewhere better to stay...trust me.

I gave 4 stars on the room we had facing the roadway witch is quite noisy with cars, buses and inconsiderate motorcycle riders, the room was also damp. However the room was very comfortable and the kitchen came complete with silverware, dishes, an induction hotplate, tall fridge/freezer, microwave and a toaster. The grounds are very well taken care of and decorated really nice, the staff is nice and even let us check-in a little earlier which was very nice. If you plan to stay here try to get a room behind the pool. Just a block or two to the beach front and parking is free with your room pass.

The *Not* Beach Hotel There were a few good things about this hotel, which we’ll begin with. There was ample, free parking (hard to come by in Miami), the front desk staff was very friendly and they allowed us to check in early. Now, things get progressively worse. The hotel is actually not on the beach, as described. It is only a block away, so the pictures are deceiving. There is no beach view from the hotel. Our first room had curtains that malfunctioned, so they gave us a room change with no fuss. The coffee was some of the worst we’ve ever had. Wolfgang “Yuck” is what they should call this brand. Now, things get substantially worse. We didn’t notice a smell until we arrived home and EVERYTHING that was in the room stunk of mold. After several washes, soaks in vinegar and lettin

The room was nice & comfortable. I appreciated the free parking. You're 2 blocks ftom the beach. I was on the 2nd floor so I didn't find it too noisy. I would stay there again.
