Beach House Hotel

My husband and I booked a weekend getaway to relax as it was our anniversary. During check in, Betsy advised us we had been given a courtesy upgrade. What a surprise! The room was beautiful and spacious with a wonderful view. Weather was perfect, food from Sam’s Chowder House which is located next to the hotel, was delicious. We could not have asked for a more perfect getaway. Thank you Beach House employee Betsy for being so nice and generous with the upgraded room. Beach House is our local go to spot to relax and reboot.

During the holidays I like to retreat to the quiet lobby where I can sip my coffee slowly next to the fireplace and gather my thoughts before heading out for a busy fun filled family gathering. Theres a beautiful Christmas tree next to the fireplace .|I’ve stayed here many times but this time …. Just when you think it doesn’t get any better I mean a continental is well, basic right ? Not this time! They had lots of new locally made baked goods with labels telling you where it was baked. They even printed out a little menu!|Fun fact : I used to work in a little hair salon on palmetto called Hair by the Sea. Now it’s the home of David’s bagels. This hotel is wonderful. Our room had a small kitchenette, a wood burning fireplace, and a large deck that overlooked the bay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the hotel is located within walking distance to the waterfront, restaurants, bars, etc. The hotel also hosts a complimentary wine hour which is a nice way to meet the other guests. The staff were all amazing-- friendly and professional. If you are visiting Half Moon Bay, this is the place you'd want to stay to fully enjoy the coastside experience.

Betsy (from Front Desk Reservations) went out of her way to make sure that I could plan a 10-year anniversary surprise for my sister, BIL and my little nephew. Not only did she call me and understand my requirements before making the reservation, she also made special arrangements to make their stay extra memorable with the wine bottle + crackers and a beach ball for my nephew along with a handwritten note. The property itself is beautiful and my family had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay at the Beach House. In a spirit of constructive criticism, I’d say that the property badly needs an 8 ft sound absorbing wall to isolate it from the traffic noise, esp. around the pool and terrace area. The smaller 4 ft wooden structure separating it from the parking lot is completely inadequate. Also, espresso machines in the room, or at least an espresso machine in the breakfast area would have been appreciated.
