Bayside Motor Inn

My "star" rating system is not related to the general hotel rating. When we qualify a product or a service, we generally use a reference point. In this case I use my previous night motel stay in a facility few blocks away where I paid exact the same price but got few times lesser quality. This place gave me a good experience, when combined with a walk at the nearby ocean park, it was worth every penny. Can sense the care for quality even this is an old building. At least they put effort to keep it up to the standard. Clean and quiet. You might get annoyed by the seagulls, but consider that you are next to the ocean. Good neighborhood. Shower works well, better than in the average hotels.

Good location along the coast, and just a short walk to the Peace Arch border. Area is quiet and calm. Staff were extremely friendly (even when I called at a very inconvenient time). Checking in and out was a breeze. The room and was well stocked. The linens were also clean and debris-free. Overall a very pleasant experience, and will definitely stay here if I visit Blaine again.

Would not recommend staying here, it was the worst motel I have a ever stayed at! The room was outdated and dirty. The bed was hard, not comfortable and felt dirty (we didn't even get under the sheets). We noticed when the toilet was flushed it backed up into the kitchenette sink (totally disgusting). I don't usually write reviews but don't want someone else to pay to stay here without knowing what they are getting themselves into. I know we will never come back! This place doesn't even deserve the one star!!!

Dose not deserve the one star. Absolutely never stay here. So dirty. Horrible management. Monthly prices are over 1000$ and nothing worked in the room. It was so dirty and smelled. The air makes you sick. If you are wanting a place to ever stay do not make it here. This place should be demolished;!!

***warning stay away!**** This place is NOT a regular inexpensive motel. It is not anywhere near the quality of a motel 6. We were in the room for 10 minutes before leaving. My husband and I were so uncomfortable and put off we didn't even complain, we just got a room at the Semiahmoo Resort (closest place that wasn't a crack den) and were so happy to feel safe. To begin with it looked "off" when we drove up. Bikes and other non-motel objects were in windows and locked to railings. The curtains in all the room windows were different. Our door didn't open, we had to get the front desk woman to help us (apparently you need to know the trick?). Inside it smelled like someone had smoked in there for 10 years and they tried to cover it up with the strongest floral room deodorizer ever.
