Baymont by Wyndham Coon Rapids

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I figured a name like Wyndham would be better. The first room we were given, there was no heat. We turned the heater up to 90 and it just blew cold air. There was only 1 threadbare blanket and 2 sheets on the bed (in December). The one bed was broken, and there was no shampoo or conditioner for the shower. There was a brown substance smeared all over the window. We were given a different room due to no heat in the first. The second room was so hot that we had to open the window at 3:00 AM to cool down. There were minimal blankets in this room as well so the front desk gave us extra, though we didn’t need them with the heating situation. Cocktail roach found in room. Breakfast had 3 different items. Not worth the risk to eat anything after seeing brown watery mixture come out of orange juice. Tried to make kid a waffle. Waffle iron not turned on. Everything was beyond bad. My 2 young daughters were horrified by everything they saw.

A few noisy customers, the first room they gave us had a wet carpet, and smelled very humid. The staff quickly switched us to another room with nice tile, smelled fresh, the beds were comfortable and the room was acceptable . The bathroom and shower needed some fixing, the towels were old but clean , shower had good temperature and pressure. tv didn’t work, and the rooms were not cleaned once during our three night stay. The pool was out of service . The breakfast was minimum. The staff was nice and welcoming , they brought fresh coffee when it ran out, they offered us cookies. The location was convenient for our event, (USA Cup) at national sports center in Blaine . Many restaurants nearby.

I'm very pleased with my stay here I came here homeless scared worried n I've been here a lil over a week.. The Employees Are Great Ppl They Are Understanding.. The Willingness To Work With Me In My Hardship Is Amazing.. They Mind There Business.. I Don't Have Any Complaints.. I Feel Safe And Things Are Going Better Thanks To The Employees The Owner Is A Great Man..

Positive: location Negative: not a hotel it was more of a boarding house for indigent people and families. children running and screaming in hallways. doors slamming all day and night dirty rooms very little staff on duty breakfast a total waste bagels sometimes coffee once a day.
