Baymont by Wyndham College Station

A/c made VERY loud noise all night Friday. We notified the front desk at 7am Saturday morning. When we got back the room around 3 pm the a/c had not been fixed. We called the front desk and they advised that they were “swamped” and not had a chance to look at it. They never came!! Saturday night was again, sleepless. They also ran out of wash cloths. there are 2 locations of Baymont by Wyndham near College Station. The gal on the phone told me that I could add on an extra night in the same room.... turns out it was a completely different location! Both locations were clean, but the second one in Bryan/College Station had broken glass everywhere & the thermostat did not work, plus the neighbors were screaming at each other and their dog was barking all night long. The free coffee did not make up for the cold, hard, loud night that I had. The first one (this one) had a gal at the front desk that was initially nice but quickly became snappy when I asked her if all the beds in the hotel were the same because it was really too hard for me to sleep on. Positive: Staff super nice and efficient. Room clean, but dated. Negative: Some of the funiture was quite old, torn, needs to be replaced. Bathroom clean, but some mold/discoloration on tub caulk noted and needs to be replaced. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Coffee was poor/weak. Waffles standard. Eggs, sausage not good.

I have no complaints about it at all! They had a great variety for breakfast, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was a good size! I’d definitely stay there again. It’s also in a great location.

Not bad, but not so good. Room is good. Staff are kind and helpful. Breakfast is good for the price. The worst thing is wifi. Wifi signal is strong at the lobby. But, the signal is too weak in the room. If you need a good internet connection in the room, this hotel might not be a good choice.
