Bay View Inn

Absolutely unacceptable experience. We were simply trying to get to our hotel when our car got stuck, and instead of offering any assistance or even basic courtesy, the security guard on duty chose to harass us and escalate the situation unnecessarily by calling the police. At no point were we causing trouble—we were just trying to resolve a minor issue and get to our destination. The guard’s behavior was hostile, unhelpful, and completely out of line. This situation could have been handled with basic human decency and common sense, but instead it was turned into a stressful and embarrassing ordeal. I would strongly urge management to review how their security staff are trained and how they interact with the public, because this kind of treatment is not acceptable. Very disappointing ex

Corey, Carrie, Bobbie Jo, Malory! All were so welcoming and helpful! The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was large and updated, and the common areas were elegant and comfortable. We loved the complimentary happy hour everyday, the all day coffee and tea station, and the bar. We walked every morning along the lake, peaceful and beautiful. I could have stayed for a month!!!

We had our wedding ceremony at the Bay View Inn on October 18th and could not have been more grateful for the kindness and beauty that surrounded our day. Firstly, Jill was our contact and she was incredibly detailed and responsive. Carrie was our coordinator for the rehearsal and the day of, and I could not even express how phenomenal she was. She worked so hard to make everything happen, and even recorded the ceremony for us on the balcony. We had to plan for it to be inside if there was rain, but at the last minute, we were able to wipe off all the chairs just in time for the sun to come out and shine on us until we left. Absolutely fabulous stay. Staff is so friendly and although an old historic property it was very clean. Beds very comfortable and daily maid service. Their package for fall included breakfast and shopping dollars in Petoskey. Views of the bay and lovely porch to sit outside and relax. Loved it!

We loved our stay at Stafford's Bay View Inn! We stayed two nights on Labor Day Weekend the night before the Mackinaw Bridge walk. The location was PERFECT. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The cookies in the rooms were such a pleasant surprise. We were blown away by the recommendations of what to do in the area, and the accessibility to other Stafford locations while we were guests at the Inn. We felt so welcome here. This was easily our favorite stay of our week-long trip in Michigan. We will definitely be back!
