Baxter Park Inn

Truly, a wonderful surprise. Having not been to Millinocket, Maine before, expectations were out the window. Located a close distance to the park, (about a 20 minute ride), the Baxter Park Inn was referred via the Park Service Division at Baxter Park as their accommodations were full. At first glance, noticed was how neatly manicured the property was. Walking through the door we were met with the Owner, Tim Darling and his front desk specialist. Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable about the area and very helpful, explaining the amenities offered for our stay. The room was perfect. Spotless as well as was the rest of the property. The hotel was "pet friendly" and all understood their responsibility to carry a "poop" bag for their dog. Oh, I can't forget to mention the hotel had washer/dr

As soon as you walk in the lobby you are greeted by a friendly staff and the resident cats which makes this place feel like home. The owner is also on site and welcoming to guests. All staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable. Convenient location to town services, plenty of parking for snowmobile trailers and direct access to trails. Thank you for making me feel welcome.

The customer service is excellent! Family owned and on premises. The hotel rooms are old but clean and well maintained. The beds were comfy! They do allow pets in some rooms and even have several cats within the lobby area that belong to the owner. They are super adorable! We intended to stay for one night and even checked out and ended up needing to stay a 2nd night after spending a lot of time in the Baxter State Park. So we experienced two different rooms and found both to be comfortable. They do have an indoor pool and offer a continental breakfast.

A coworker I stayed at the Baxter Park Inn while we were in town to time the Millinocket Marathon and Half. The owners are genuinely fantastic people! I am neurodivergent and not only did they learn my name, but went out of their way several times to ensure I was taken care of when I needed anything, even with a "full house" for race weekend. Rooms are nothing fancy and amenities are minimal, but everything was comfortable, quiet, and incredibly clean. Also worth noting that I am gluten free and they did at least have oatmeal, bananas, and peanut butter available at breakfast, which was a nice surprise. Absolutely wonderful place and they have 5 rescue kitties who live in the hotel. Meet the owner who fixed our TV right after we arrived cause we couldn't figure out how to change the channel 😆 . Would Absolutely recommend and stay again if in the area. Love it ❤️
