Bass River Motel

Room and bedding were clean, but outdated. Owner was very nice and accommodating. During our stay housekeeping didn't come to the room. Air conditioning worked well and the location is centrally located. Public beach wasn't far.

Very friendly staff and although it’s somewhat dated, it was extremely clean and a perfect getaway. They have many different colors and patterns but it made it very kitschy! Having the refrigerator was a plus and the AC was brand new. We will visit again!

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and we just checked out. Overall, we’re very happy with our stay and it’s good for the money. First off, the fact that the check in age was only 18 was a HUGE help to us since we were very limited to our options since we are under 21. The staff is very friendly and informative, the owner/manager gave us a few ideas for activities and she was extremely nice and made sure we enjoyed our stay. For the price you pay, the Bass River Motel is wonderful. It’s a wonderful location with great people and they do housekeeping daily. It’s a little outdated, but then again, for the price, it’s worth your money. Will not go back. Owner was rude to a friend who came to pick me up to go out. It was 80 degrees on one of the days I was there and there was no air conditioning, when I called to ask about it I was told It's not hot enough yet, no one else asked for it and I should open the windows, which had broken screens. I came to find out when sitting at the worn out picnic table that 3 other's also complained the rooms were too hot. There were 2 of us and we were only given 1 set of towels, thankfully we had our beach towels. There were stains on the bedding and bedding was very scratchy. Beds would of been comfortable if the sheets felt better.microwave was so old I was afraid to use it. Not worth $200. There was an empty tissue box, it was dusty, there were stains on one of the towels and a little stain on one of the sheets. It smelled when we got into our room so we checked the filter on the air conditioner. I don't think is has ever been clean. It was disgusting. The woman who checked me out was very nice but I don't think I'd stay here again.
