Barkers Island Inn Resort & Conference Center

Did a staycation at Barker’s with friends and loved it. Super relaxing location, lots of parking, staff were above and beyond and so friendly. Nice pool area and jacuzzi. Loved they have a sauna. Rooms were good size and value for the price. Didn’t get a chance to eat at the restaurant or bar but loved that they have both on site. Will be back.

We visited the Barkers Island Inn during the Ice Festival weekend in Superior. The hotel had a ton of fun, family friendly activities for all ages going on Friday and Saturday! Everything was very well organized and executed. The service at all touch points was phenomenal, from the front desk check in to the restaurant and bar staff. Our only concern was with the room and the water temperature and fixtures in the bathroom. The knob for turning on the water on both the sink and shower needed service or replacement. The shower one was loosened to the point that we couldn't turn it properly to change temperature without almost a half turn to change it a degree or so. We have stayed here several times. While it is dated, it is always a great deal and we like that there is a small exercise room, pool and hot tub and restaurant. It too is convenient to Duluth and was a far better price than anything comparable in Duluth. We will come again!

Stayed here last weekend when we were in town for a hockey tournament. Although this hotel is a wee bit dated and it’s geared towards a good value stay, I thought it was fine. Ryan at the front desk was amazing. She checked us in and even gave me and husband 2 free drink tickets as it was also my 50th birthday. Really appreciated her personable customer service !! I felt there were good measures in place to ensure safety within and outside the hotel (card key access areas). I didn’t use the pool but our son said it was good. Only complaint was the gym -the one treadmill there wasn’t working. Breakfast downstairs was excellent and staff were very nice. Shower had great pressure and was HOT! Always a plus. Thanks for a nice stay!
