Barefoot Suites

I would honestly not stay here again. The room was adequate. Large with a lot of space. Needs to be updated for sure. My problem was the rude front desk people at check in, lack of communication and lack of accountability. We attempted to check in early. Was told nothing available. No problem. Check in was 4pm. We came back at 3:55. No room available. Sat in the little lobby area. 4:30. No room. 4:45. No room. Close to 5pm and they said there is a problem with the AC. I asked can you not just put us in a different room. They indicated they were sold out. At 11pm there were 15 cars in the parking lot and I could go on and book a room. Not sure why they lied to me. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there is not a manager onsite and they were not comfortable speaking to a paying cust

Positive: the area was bright and designed well. it was easy to walk around the overall area Negative: rather noisy, or maybe just my room. they had me right next to the maintenance room and throughout the night I heard random weird noises and talking coming from the bathroom. the hotel is not the best as being accessible for people with mobility issues.

we really like this place, it is way beyond our expectations, especially it's close to everything but still quiet. We used to spend a few nighs at gaylord palms every year this time, but would rather stay here next time. Be aware, no room service, but changing of towels is available. Washing machine and dryers are available with laundry detergent provided.

We stayed there for the week. Room smelled clean, small but clean. It did have a washer and dyer in the unit which was nice; however the dryer required 2 cycles to dry a few pieces of clothing. The “jacuzzi tub” was extremely tiny and didn’t work. We did notified the desk and they told us that they have no maintenance and would have someone come the next day, which they didn’t come the whole time. There were 2 room phones, didn’t work either. The best part of the room was the back porch area. The beds were so hard and we woke every day with pain. Oh and there was a snake in the pool, we didn’t get it but when I told the office they didn’t seem to care and said they would send maintenance, that took 3 hours almost before I seen anyone come to remove it. Spacious place that was pretty clean. Perfect size for our family that came to visit Universal. Great location and close to a lot of fun attractions. If you’re a light sleeper, it’s right across from a carnival type attraction and has screaming until about 11pm. The only other complaint is the beds. They are so incredibly hard and uncomfortable to sleep on.
