Balsam Motel

The motel is immaculate. Very clean, safe and great for families. The beach is relaxing and they have plenty of lounge chairs and a ping pong table. There are enough outdoor grills and fire pits sufficient for all guests. Overall a great place for a summer get away. The only negative thing that I have to say is that they allowed us to park our boat trailer in their driveway of the staff building (which we were extremely thankful for) but someone ended up moving the trailer by hand and pushed it into a tree which smashed the trailer light and bent the steel bracket that holds the light. I wish they would have said something to us when they moved their vehicles so that we could get the trailer: Thankfully we had tools in the car and were able to temporarily fix the light until we get home.

Just stayed here with my wife and i must say the place was awesome felt right at home ! The staff was super friendly , private beach (lakefront) is beautiful , fire-pits next too every cabin ,Great place too go with your family, lots of stuff too do there you dont even need to leave the property !! Mike the owner was very accommodating and helpful this weekend with our last min plans ,will be returning soon thanks for having us !! Bathrooms are a little outdated and toilets are low lol but the room is very nice

Nice quiet cottages pretty close to the Lakeshore. This complex is owned by the next door Shore Meadows so you can use their beach. However there is only 1 attendant and they are always busy. Room is dimly lit and walls are thin, and the wrong wifi password is posted. I recommend staying at the shore meadows over Balsam. However Balsam does provide a pool and several bonfires with chairs and picnic tables for first come first serve use. Nice but I would stay at shore meadows when booking next time.

Me and my Husband have been coming here last 7 years with our Dogs and this place is the perfect spot for us. It's just a few steps to a small beach down the road and walking distance to town. The owner Gary and Suzy are great. Very Clean rooms and perfect atmosphere. Can't wait to come again next year!

We could not have asked for a better place to have stayed for our family vacation. Suzy and Gary make you feel like family. The motel and cottages are right within walking distance of Lake George Village and the Lake. The bonus was the pool. The cottage was just lovely. Clean-sparkling clean, and ideal for cooking in when you want. Our daughter and dog were made to feel so special. Be sure to book here!
