Greeted in such a friendly way and made to feel at home. Love that. Our room is nice. It has what we need and semi decent view from the balcony. It isn’t amazing but good with a real comfy bed. We had pmenty of towels too which can sometimes be an issue places. The grounds are beautiful and nice to walk about safely. The hot tub is massive! A 30 person hot tub is crazy. We didn’t swim but the pool is beautiful too. The location worked great for us as we had a planned speed boat adventure about 15 minutes away and about the same to the seaport. Pickleball and tennis courts looked nice but we just didn’t have the time. We would definitely come back next time we are in San Diego. Free parking is like a unicorn around here so that was also a nice surprise.
Positive: The location was fantastic. Negative: On the last night of our stay we asked if we could get a parking pass for an extra vehicle. Despite there being plenty of parking available. We were advised we could parking the nearby public parking which was mostly a homeless encampment.
We stayed at the Bahia Resort Hotel and rented two little house/condo-style units, and they were absolutely wonderful. We loved the patio garden area — it gave us space, privacy, and such a relaxing atmosphere. The resort was very clean, quiet, and beautifully maintained. We really enjoyed the hot tub, the private beach, and how easy it was to walk to the “beach beach” for surfing and ocean activities. One of our favorite surprises was the sea lions that stay right at the hotel — we were there primarily for SeaWorld, and before it even opened, seeing the sea lions at the resort completely sealed the deal on how special this place is (literally 🦭). The Airstream breakfast spot was such a fun touch, and the gift shop came in clutch when I realized I’d forgotten a toothbrush. We even had Am
We loved the resort. It was well kept, and all the staff was very helpful and kind. The heated pool, and 33 person hot tub were also great. The pool area is protected so you stay warm even if the temperature is a little low. The towels were always plentiful. The pool bar wasn’t open, but I’m sure that was due to the season as we were there in late February. We had to go to the restaurant for to-go food and drinks. The rooms were nice. We were in the farthest building from the lobby (room 495) but had amazing water views overlooking a park. They do have golf cart shuttles you can request but we didn’t need to. The location was perfect as you can walk to Mission Beach, Belmont park, Starbucks, a great BBQ restaurant, gelato, a couple of shops, all within a 5-10 minute walk. The tennis courts
I come to SD about once a year for business to visit my company office in Mission Valley. In the past, I have stayed at some of the dated hotels in Mission Valley but this time I wanted to stay near the water. And I was glad I found the Bahia. It's meant mostly for leisure and/or family guests, but my stay was a very comfortable one.||I had a one bedroom suite with a balcony on the bay. The room wasn't dated but wasn't updated either. It did just fine for me. It has a small kitchenette, dining table and counter. The room was a comfy with a few places to relax and stretch your legs including the balcony. ||The bed and pillows were quite comfy and made for good night sleep each night, which is not common for me when I'm travelling.||The grounds are nice to walk around the bay or with
