Totally disappointed with hotel. Thr refrigerator barely got cold. There was no soap in the shower dispenser and someone left an old USED bar of soap on top of the dispenser. You mean they couldn't put more soap in when they cleaned the room and left a used bar soap in there???The trash bags were hanging on the side of the trash cans. Thought it was strange housekeeping couldn't just put them in the can. The sheets did not feel fresh to me!! My husband and I should have asked for a another room but to be honest we just drove over 14 hours and we're exhausted. I wasn't even sure if they had another since we didn't have a reservation but shame on us for not asking, we were just too tired. I take a light sleeping bag to sleep in just incase I'm not sure about the sheets and I definitely used

We stayed at avid Hotel Macon North by IHG in November 2025 with our two kids (ages 11 and 8). First impression from the outside was great — the hotel looks modern, clean, and bright. The lobby and breakfast area are spacious, welcoming, and well-designed.||Breakfast was actually one of the highlights: fresh fruit, cereal, sausage, eggs, bacon — everything you need for a quick and satisfying start to the day.||However, the rooms were a different story. At first glance they seemed fine, but we soon noticed several issues. The bathroom was large, but the wallpaper was peeling off the wall. The room didn’t feel properly cleaned, with a few dead bugs on the rug. The TV wasn’t working and only offered a couple of sports channels, and that was it. The front desk staff wasn't rude but they weren't attentive and friendly either. When we approached they were often just on their phones and we had to wait for them to be ready to speak with us. The one front desk woman told ua we had to find housekeeping on the floors to get more towels, we shouldn't have to go track down staff to get towels for iur room. The staff in the breakfast room and the housekeeping staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nice and we liked the grab and go breakfast. Overall it was a decent hotel and priced ok.

The hotel was in a good location and very clean. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. However, the rooms were very small and lacking amenities like in room, coffee maker and microwave as well as a closet space to hang clothes. The continental breakfast was adequate at best.
