Attean Lake Lodge

The location of this lodge cannot be beaten--the lake and surrounding area truly are astoundingly beautiful! And the lack of electricity in the cabins is charming--the best (and earliest-to-bed) sleep we've had in years. The all-inclusive meals were lovely (and there's alcohol for purchase, if you so desire--we didn't know that going in.) You can rent a simple motorboat for only $60/day (a good value!) to tool around the lake, which is delightful. I wish I had known (my own fault--I should have assumed it, but it would have been lovely to factor it in ahead of time with a heads up from the lodge) that we were expected to tip housekeepers, waitstaff, and boatman. Just returned from the most magical stay with my family. We loved it so much we plan to return annually. Staff was so kind, cabins immaculately clean, delicious and fresh food, tons of activities. Didn’t miss the electricity I’m surprised to say. 10/10.

I feel like some of the waitstaff was great and others were not. I also think that the water and coffee stations could have been kept up with better. Jax and Barrett were great! The cabin and location is amazing. It had been 25 years since I’d been there last and I had just as much fun as last time. Thank you!!!
