Atomic Inn

We reserved a room with two queens, and were contacted the morning of our arrival with news the water heater needed replaced in that room. They only had a king room left, but offered us an air mattress and a discount on our accommodations. Gentleman we dealt with was very personable. Only slight criticism I have is maybe the room decor. Would like to see more "alien" or "atomic" themed pics instead of the floral ones. The floral was nice, don't get me wrong, but would've been so much cooler with some "themed" pics. The glow in the dark stars on the ceiling were a nice touch and a neat surprise when we turned the lights off to go to bed. Microwave & mini fridge were a bonus. All in all, support these local hard working folks over a chain motel. Extra bonus, they will let you have free pomeg

Think twice before staying at this hotel. I had reserved two queen beds and they only had a king bed available when I arrived. The rooms are very dated and the one I stayed in was not very clean. No amenities whatsoever and it just does not feel comfortable. There are many people in and out of the management office and not very knowledgeable about the town and the area. Parking is mostly in a dirt lot and was muddy due to rain storm. The chairs in the room were absolutely disgusting and I would not sit in them, or put any of my bags on them. Refrigerator was turned off when I got there as it was defrosted and a pool of water was in the bottom of the refrigerator. Breakfast, I sure didn't see anything and if there was some it would be in a front office with no seating. They should just no

The good: even though it’s old it’s very clean. Plenty of hot water. Comfy bed. Great customer service. The questionable: my room did not have a light blocking window covering. The curtain was black and when it was dark and the light was on you could kinda see into the room, not clearly though. I was careful about where I changed so it was ok, but it was weird. Heater made lots of noise and took forever to heat the room. No in room coffee, they had it in the office after 7:30 am.

Friendly, helpful staff. Room was very clean. Fridge, microwave, heater, A/C, all clean and in working order. Plenty of accessible electrical outlets. Walls are not paper-thin. There is some road noise if you are street side but it calms by 9pm. Close to convenience store, 2 BBQ places. I was planning on going to Reno to get a room for 2 nights but decided to extend my stay here!
