At The Helm Hotel & Waterline Pub

I'm in this hotel, and super impressed thus far. The room and bathroom are enormous for the price. The robes are super soft. The cedar hot tub was lovely. But most impressive is the food and Grace at the front desk. She was extremely helpful, and doubled as our waitress. The food is nothing crazily inventive, but solidly delicious. Ling cod delicious, shrimp tasted like lobster. So far, I couldn't be happier. Some may have a problem with staff not being available 24/7, but at this rate, and all the other great features, they had to cut costs somewhere.

I love the details and care they put into our experience! The dinner and drinks were great! It is right on the Marina and it is quiet and peaceful! We used the wellness suite with the hot tub and sauna. The whole staff was amazing and we would highly recommend this stay.

Wow! I booked through a discounted online special for off-season. What a fabulous time we had. Beautiful sauna, hot tub, pub with great food, free welcome drinks, free bike rental, free breakfast delivery to your room, free snacks in room, free Nespresso, fireplace by the bed, fire pit outside with blankets, the room was beautiful with a view of the harbor! Friendly staff. I was so pleased!

We stopped in to have lunch while at the Saturday Market. We got there when they were opening and had to wait a few minutes on the patio to get service and that was fine. The waitress was very sweet. My sister is gluten intolerant so she was asking about substitutions to a dish or two but we were told the chef prefers to keep his dishes by the recipe so she opted not to eat which was unfortunate. The food was really good but it did take over an hour to get it. This is the second time we've been there and it does take time to get your food so be prepared for that. Sitting on the patio is nice because you can people watch and have a cocktail while you wait. I've never stayed in the rooms yet but we were in town for our brothers wedding and they stayed there so they must like the rooms. I

We went there 2 years ago and it was amazing. We came back just to eat and the management was horrible to us. We have food allergies and they serve green onions on the clamp chowder which is not listed. We told the manager and she was very rude and after causing a scene removed it from our check. It was very disappointing since we bragged about it the first time
