Astoria Hotel

Pool wasn't working and room reserved didn't have pull out couch as advertised. Breakfast ran out of milk early and all staff could offer was "I just work here". There was milk in a concession area but staff wouldn't comp us one for cereal. Ended up crossing the street to a convenience store and bought some. Needed to ask for plastic cups at front desk instead of just having a few in the room. Will not stay at this chain (Spark) again. 😞

First of all, the actual room was fine. The beds were super comfortable and the shower was great. My original booking was with Astoria Hotel. Our GPS took us to the parking lot of Spark by Hilton. We had no idea the hotel was bought out by another company. That would have been nice to know. We got checked in and as the lady handed us our key cards, that’s when she told us that the pool was not open. That was not fun telling our kids. We parked our car and were going to go in a side door closer to our room and the outdoor keycard entrances do not work. We had to try multiple doors to even get in. Then our cards would not work for the actual room. We booked this hotel for the use of the sofa bed as well. The linens looked like they had not been washed for 30 years. My original booking said t

This hotel is a joke. We rented a room at this hotel specifically for the breakfast, the pool and hot tub. They offer nothing but bagels,Yogurt and muffins for breakfast. Pool and hot tub are supposedly under construction. No extra blankets or pillows in room. Only garbage can available in room was the bathroom garbage can. Very disappointed. We woukd have stayed somewhere else if we would have known all this. They need to update their website to let everyone know they do not offer what they advertise for breakfast and the pool and hot tub are not working. Ridiculous! We stayed in room #319 5/16-5/18

This place is in transition from Astoria to Spark. If you want breakfast you won't get it here, they now have just a bagel bar. If you want coffee in your room you won't get it here. They have a coffee bar way downt he hall. No microwave or coffee pot in our room! If you want to get into your room with the key card ask for about 30 of them becasue none of them work. Standing out in the rain trying to get into the motel. Otherewise the rooms were nice and clean and new. Staff was very nice to deal with! None of the outlets could hold a cord. They were shot!!

I called the day before our stay, specifically to enquire about the recent reviews stating the pool/hot tub were closed. The front desk assured me that the pool, spa, and fitness room were all open and functional. When we arrived after 12 hours of driving, I was very ready to enjoy the hot tub. We got down to the pool area and see a chair with a note blocking the hot tub, stating it was closed. Definitely not happy as this was the main reason I had selected this hotel AND the front desk had told me it would be open. Will not be using this hotel for my trips ever again. A few other side notes, the rooms appear to be updated but it is either unfinished or poorly done. Conclusion: Avoid this hotel, pay a little extra for a better stay at one of the other options.
