They are in the process of renovating an old Days Inn. Its repainted, but the elevators were not working. Looks rundown from the outside. Inside the rooms were nicely upgraded.
This place is cheap for a reason. Overall the room is not terrible but the whole place smells like food. It's also in a pretty sketchy area with a lot of homeless lurking around. I would stay again for the price but I wouldn't want my wife staying here without me for sure. Definitely not somewhere I would bring my kids if I had them either.
This place is sorta Jekyll and Hyde. Rooms are newly redone and worthy of a mid range 3-star hotel, so good value for the price. Great shower, good desk chair, microwave and fridge in room. But the outside appearance feels like an aging Days Inn (which it was) that might be frequented by ladies of the night and so on. Pretty sketch with peeling paint, drab colors and an overall outside appearance of neglect and indifference. It’s as if the developers were trying for boutique hotel then ran out of money. The “lobby,” though staffed by a friendly, helpful fellow, says check your guns at the door. I would stay again for a 1 night “I need a decent room and I’m just going to sleep here” bit would not bring partner or family.
Came to the frontdesk and the lady gave us great service but mentioned there is laundry room but it’s been closed for renovation. Our room was nice when me and my wife first walked in but realized there was a pile of trash and dirt in the corner of the bed, our patio door was laying on the ground, and dust all over the remotes. Not a very comfortable place when the shower doesn’t have a door and steam goes all throughout the room. Floor wasn’t too clean for us to walk around on even with socks, but not too bad of a place overall, just not my preference.
When we checked in, Alex was amazing. Very hospitable and helped us with no issues. I asked if there was a late check out option available and he assured me there was for a fee, which I paid. I got a call at 11:30 am on the room phone (extremely loud by the way) which woke us up, and mark from the front desk told me that it was 30 mins past our checkout times. I mentioned I paid the fee for a late checkout and he told me “I’ll check and if I need anything else from you I’ll call you back.” All was well until he called again at around 12:45 and told us we didn’t pay any fee (which I have the statement and charge for) and told me he needed me out because he had someone else lined up for that room. On the call he said the wrong room number, on a completely different floor. He finally called b
