We had a great stay here after hiking Katahdin. Hostel staff was friendly & informative and the private rooms were clean and comfortable, equipped with fans. Beautiful building with lots of character and bright sunny enclosed porches. Thanks for a great stay!

These folks are amazing! I called with a last minute request hoping to keep my trip alive and they came through in a big way. Super reliable and such a professional biz. Highly recommend using them for any of your shuttle needs, in and out of Baxter State Park.

Appalachian trail Hotel Owned and operated by experienced through-hiker-couple (trash panda & loins of Arabia) and staffed with other accomplished, caring hikers (such as Moses and poop-feather) this is the place to be on your AT journey. Clean rooms, super nice shower, great gear store and flexible services to get you from and to any reasonable location on the trail. If you hike the AT in Maine, staying at this hostel is going to be one of the highlights of your trip. And don’t get me started on millinocket. What a fantastic little town. Surprisingly great food, free concerts at the park, and nice people. Looking forward to another section and another stay!

My wife and I stayed here after a challenging start to our AT through hike. They were more than accommodating, and offered amazing service and recommendations. Definitely the #1 choice for hiker hostels in the Millinocket area.

My husband and I just finished a guided hike with Koty to katahdin summit. We just turned 60 and couldn’t have gotten there without him. He was patient, kind and very knowledgeable. We did the 3 day hike and camped at chimney pond which was a beautiful campground. Koty made us delicious and nutritious meals and even shared homemade cookies on the summit. We also stayed at the hostel in a private room. We were so impressed with the property. Koty and Danya are wonderful hosts and have thought of everything. They also offered shuttle service to and from the airport which was so convenient. Lastly, we enjoyed the town of millinocket. It had a few nice restaurants, bakery and gift shop we enjoyed visiting.
