Anthony Lake is a beautiful place to camp, hike, bike, and kayak. There are day use campgrounds that you can reserve day of or campgrounds you can reserve in advance. We enjoyed walking the Black Lake trail which took us around 2 hours round trip. The lake is great to kayak on. It’s a peaceful place with great facilities. There are many bathrooms and a place where you can have lunch. The restaurant has limited hours over the weekend.

Beautiful, peaceful, and grounding. The lake is stocked with trout and accessible with non motorized boats. Numerous trails around the area that are easy to do including the Hoffer Lake trail which leads to a beautiful mountain lake. Gunsight peak trail gives an exceptional view of the surrounding lakes. Vault toilets that were in great shape. Some of the camp sites are reservable with the tent sites being first come first serve. This is one of the best camping areas around!

One of the most beautiful campgrounds I have ever visited, and I have seen many. Well maintained, incredibly pretty with all the heath and fragrant trees, everywhere boulders, and a lake whose little tree island sits in front of Gunsight Mountain as if painted by Kinkaide just for you. Also pretty quiet due to good site separation, if you don't count the insects you need to guard against. The lake showed pleasant busyness with paddle boards and diverse small craft whose presence can't be refused for the sheer beauty of this in place! I write this after visiting during the longest triple digit heat wave I have experienced in Boise - what a welcome relief.

Beautiful and well kept campground! The hosts were welcoming and helpful. We drove from Texas and were very tired so it was nice to find such a beautiful place to camp at along with such wonderful hosts! We will definitely be back! I highly recommend this campground.
