Annabelle Inn

I wish I could leave a positive review for our recent weekend stay at the Annabelle, but unfortunately a very negative interaction with a staff member completely overshadowed the experience. This was my fourth time staying at the Annabelle, and my previous visits were excellent. The location is great, the property has always been comfortable, and staff had previously been friendly and welcoming. However, during this stay we had a very unpleasant interaction with a staff member named Anne within the first hour of arriving. We checked in around 2:30pm and were happy our room was ready. After dropping our bags we went to lunch, then returned around 4pm to relax in the hot tub before dinner. While getting ready in our room we briefly played music (about 15 minutes). All lodging in Aspen seems pricy, however, this Inn is well worth the daily rate. We had unit 103, which was off the main street enough that we never heard traffic noise. The hot tub was wonderful. All the reviews that mention David were right on! He furnished wonderful information about the Maroon Bells shuttle service and was a great host at breakfast. We loved the location that made it easy to walk everywhere. We never moved our car for the two days we were there.

The room was clean and quaint. It is walking distance to downtown and the ski slopes. We could watch people skiing on Aspen Mountain from our room and from the hot tub. There was a locker for our skis with a lock provided. We could walk to the lift at Ajax Tavern. It is a few blocks from the pharmacy, liquor store and grocery store. Also walking distance to Hotel Jerome and the Little Nell and the Snow Lodge and the French Alpine Creperie. The bus stops right out front to bring you to Buttermilk or Snowmass or the Aspen airport. There is homemade quiche for breakfast as well as other items every morning. The staff was lovely and fun and incredibly accommodating. We had a great time and this is the second time I stayed at Annabelle Inn!

While the best chain hotels try to make you feel like they care, it always ends up ringing a little false. Not at Annabelle. Something about the staff, the space, the atmosphere feels like the hospitality of a bygone era. The rooms feel new but cozy. I was on the road side and it wasn't too loud. Breakfast was delicous and they were extremely accomadating getting me what I needed to go. Truly cannot wait to stay here again.

Annabelle Inn is truly a one-of-a-kind place, something you don’t come across often. The customer service alone sets it apart; you receive genuinely hands-on, personalized attention for anything you need. The staff is incredibly attentive, the rooms are spotless, and the location is unbeatable, within walking distance to everything. I usually stay at 4– or 5–star resorts, but in my experience, this place was even better. It feels warm, cozy, and very safe, like a home away from home. There’s something truly special about this place. I highly recommend staying here, whether you’re traveling solo or with friends. I can’t say enough about the customer service, which is extremely important to me. The breakfast is delicious, simple, but exactly what you need to start your day. Thank you, Dav
