Angels Rest Hiker's Haven

Great Hostel. They will pick you up from the trail in Pearesburg or you can walk in the 1/4 mile or so. There is a great Mexican resturant close by. Walk a little farther and find a pizza/sub shop.

My favorite hostel stop on the AT. This place is great, clean bathrooms, helpful staff, and kind rides to Walmart.

Clean, caring, priced fairly..... Having to retreat to a hostel after an injury was unexpected and disappointing, but lucking into Angels Rest turned out to be an excellent experience. I met my erstwhile roommate on the trail, also injured, the two of us, going two different directions found we had a signal at the same place and time. We introduced each other and compared woes, and agreed to meet in 2 days time at Angels Rest. This hostel read our separate texts and was able to put us together in the cleanest, most comfortable, most affordable way. The brick house we stayed in had plenty of hot water for showers, a kitchen, dining and living rooms, AND the laundry (in a separate building) was included. They made sure we had a way to get there from the trail and welcomed us cheerfully and w

Great stay. Wish they had food or other items for sale but stores less than 1/2 mile, so not big issue.

Wow! Great memories. I stayed here 4 nights during my thru-hike last year. It was my second "Vortex" location. Such a great location with the supermarket across the way for resupply (via a cute trail created by the hosts). The town has many places to eat less than a mile away.
