Anderson's South Shore Resort

My family gets together for a week here every 5 years. This place is big enough for all of the kids, our kids, our kids kids to come! It has great activities to keep everyone entertained. Don't miss the turtle races :) It has a bar and restaurant and will cater family get together meals. Usually has some activity at night also. The cabins are always clean but getting old. Not much changes which is probably part of the charm of this place.

We used to vacation here years ago when it was known as "Huddle's Resort". Now that my son is grown we decided to go back and book a one-week stay and are glad we did. The remodeled cabin we stayed in was very nice and comfortable, and the price reasonable. A grill and deck are included at each cabin. You cannot get a better view of Leech Lake than this. There are many amenities offered especially if you have young children (activities, many water sporting goods, nice swimming beach). We will book again for next year.

Our extended family enjoyed a lovely week at the resort. Staff are all very friendly and helpful, extra props to the young gal running around doing all the kids' activities, Turtle Races and the fishing contest were a favorite. We enjoyed the beach and pool a lot, having a small menu restaurant was also nice for some meals and pool snacks. Cabins are nice but all had their quirks/flaws. I wish they'd consider bunks in one of the rooms since there is zero floor space if you want to put a pack n play down. Our roof leaked so when it rained our entry way was very flooded, our fridge struggled to keep temp. Some of our cabins had less cooking/kitchen items than others so we were fortunate we could share (ie we had three forks but 9 knifes, one didn't have a frying pan etc.). Overall for

Really nice place. Loved it when I came with family in August!! Lovely docks and the cabin was really nice! Be prepared for bugs to lol. They love to come out during the evening time but don't let that dissuade you from coming here. I highly recommend.

Great little place, we ate here after a long day in the heat and the burgers were fantastic and the beer was ice cold. The lodge is so cute inside and you can tell the family has put a lot of work in keeping the beauty and history of this place! Support this small local business :). Bonus points the lodge patio and resort are dog friendly!
