As a Hyatt Globalist, Andaz 5th Avenue continues to deliver a consistently strong experience. The location is prime — directly on 5th Avenue next to the New York Public Library and Bryant Park — making it ideal for both business and leisure stays in Midtown.||||Globalist recognition was excellent. Check-in was efficient and professional, with a warm welcome and clear communication throughout the stay. Room upgrades were handled thoughtfully, and the rooms themselves are spacious by NYC standards, modern, and very quiet. The floor-to-ceiling windows, comfortable bedding, and functional layout make it easy to actually relax in Manhattan.||||The complimentary non-alcoholic minibar is a standout Andaz feature and genuinely appreciated. Housekeeping was attentive and consistent, and the overall
Positive: I checked out of the hotel the same day and was charged a fee on my credit card Negative: The hotel smelled like sewage and made my allergies worse
This is one of my favorite hotels in NY - it feels truly boutique, despite its size and everything about the property exudes class. The space, although it’s not new, is really tastefully designed (the lobby feels more like a gallery than a hotel reception) and nothing is too much trouble for the team (including my never ending need for more Nespresso pods and hangers). The complimentary mini bar is a fantastic touch. Would 10/10 recommend this option, especially if you need to be in or around midtown!

Of note, this is a 4.4 star review so it's rounding down to 4/5 due to Google's review star structure. Check-in was easy and the Andaz staff member greeted us warmly, offering us sparkling or mineral waters. The check-in area isn’t like a typical check-in desk. Rather it’s an island with an interesting decorative piece that goes to the ceiling. Although the room wasn’t immediately available for early check-in, it was ready (approximately 2PM) about an hour after our original arrival. We were notified during check-in that we received a room upgrade to the Loft Suite and that was a pleasant surprise. The room was spectacular — easily among the largest we've encountered anywhere in Manhattan. Loft-style with oversized windows and it had a minimalist elegance that somehow still felt warm and
