The night guy is never around, barely knows English. If you are an early bird like I am, don't expect hot coffee or any coffee. The room only has 1 cup of coffee. I stay at a lot of hotels because I work construction and always had hot coffee early in morning. The staff, I believe, do as little as possible. The pool and hot tub are good though. Beds are cheap. If you are expecting comfort, these beds are not it.

We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend in Eagle River. We loved the location of the hotel. It was very clean, breakfast was just OK. Make sure if you stay here that you do not get a room next to the employee room on the 1st floor...very noisy in the morning. Also, the weekend we stayed there were alot of slamming doors in the hotel. The lady at the front desk was very nice and thanked us for our stay. We would stay here again but definitely would make sure we got a room on the 2nd floor. Very close to downtown area so you can walk from the hotel.

Great location in Eagle River..very comfortable beds and rooms have been updated very nicely. Only complaint is no elevator so requested first floor room on reservation and on online check in as we both use canes and front desk checkin had no idea of those request so very poor communication to person actually assigning the rooms. Luckily the desk person helped us with luggage to second floor. Best advice is if you have any special requests be sure to call the hotel several times days before and several times to assure someone is aware. Was difficult for us to navigate stairs!

Great hotel with staff who are very friendly . Our room was very clean and shower had great pressure. Beds were cozy,hotel was nice and quiet and fair price.

There is no elevator. My wife tells me thats not unusual for Americ Inn. I guess I never notice as we take the stairs. Except when we have a hockey goalie bag that needs to be brought in. This hotel is ok. The hockey teams that stay there, like most hockey teams in hotel, sorta take over the pool are and the breakfast nook. They did cover the cracked window in the second floor landing in a pretty creative way. The fridge had a freezer but we couldn't use it. Again, it OK, and they probably try their best, or not.
