Americas Best Value Presidents Inn on Munras

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The rooms were dated, but clean and tidy. The amenities were a plus; I had a microwave, hairdryer, iron, fridge (and not ultra mini), and most of all a coffeemaker. I checked in at 3pm and I was able to get a ground floor room, which was nice. Parking was ample, I arrived back after a wedding about 9pm and was able to park right in front of my room. The lady at the front desk was pleasant, and checkout was simple - just drop the key in a slot by the reception area. I didn't have time to explore the pool or hot tub area, but I caught a glimpse and it looked clean. Keep in mind, there is no a/c at this location, which in May wasn't an issue, but further in the summer it may be hotter. The sliding door was massive, and I can see where it would

Rooms are old but clean. Small. Has microwave, coffee maker. (bring your own coffee and filters.) Refrigerator. We stayed 2 nights. Great price for $54 a night. Parking right outside our room. Quiet. Water pressure sucks. If you are short the shower sprays around you.lol. plenty of hot water. Paint peeling off the walks in the bathroom. Location is perfect. Close to everything. I do recommend if you just want a room to clean up and sleep. Bed comfy. Lots of pillows. Thank goodness for the fan. Can't shut off the heater. Pool and hot tub were closed. Dang it.

Great value! My stay at America’s Best Value President’s Inn on Munras suited my needs perfectly! It’s walking distance to downtown Monterey and it was very clean and comfortable. While the building may be dated, my room had new carpets and updated furnishings. The bathroom was also spacious and clean. I would definitely stay again and would recommend!

I checked in and was greeted with a friendly nature. I filled out a form and the portion that asks if I had any pets I checked off “no” and paid a $150 dollar deposit. The next time I visited this hotel a few days later, the guy remembered me and asked me if I had a dog. I informed him I did. He then told me that I was to fill out the form and check “yes” when it asks if I had brought any pets. I told him he’s a service animal not a pet. He then asked me to change my answer to “yes” anyways. He also informed me that my deposit would increase to $300. I told him what he is doing is illegal and he cannot increase my deposit for having a service animal. The then told me the next time I stayed with him he is increasing it to $300. I asked him if this increase would be just for me or for everyo
