Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Ft. Collins E at I-25

Only positive is the bed was comfortable and bathroom as well as sink area, was clean. Couch and chair were filthy, and room smelled of cigarettes. Cigarettes dumped out front of our room door. 2nd night, around 8 pm, bathroom ceiling was leaking onto floor, wall and toilet, could hear major dripping in wall. Leaked from light fixture in bathroom which is hazardous. Floor was soaked. We could not use bathroom. Told front desk. No one came to the room and we were not relocated to a new room. No compensation or discount given. Same when we checked out, no one cared and there was no apology. Just kept telling me not to worry that we would receive our deposit back as the leak was not our fault. On the website it's very hard to contact anyone for this specific Sonesta Hotel Group.

This hotel needs to be visited by the health department. It is beyond disgusting, extremely dirty and smells awful. The smoke detector in our room was hanging on by a wire from the ceiling and did not work. The microwave and fridge in the room was broken. There was a hole in the wall and a missing light switch. The carpet looked like it hasn't been vacuumed in years. The breakfast is a complete joke! No juice, stale cereal, rotten bananas, and hard muffins. The staff I am convinced are doing drugs as they appeared high out of their minds with an i don't give an F attitude.

This place uses AI to doctor their rooms. The rooms look more like it's from the 70's and aged. I got the room with a jacuzzi and needed it but when I turned on the jets, it made the water smell. Tried to use the hair dryer and it died 10 seconds into using it. Either the bed sheets, or pillows smelled like smoke. I think the hotel is more of a place for people to rent rooms to live.

Positive: "" Negative: This place is a total dump. What where those gross stains on the furniture?! Stayed only because I had prepaid. Will never, ever go back.

Unfortunately, our experience at this establishment was brief, lasting only a few minutes. The room looked nothing like what was on the website. There were signs posted everywhere about not smoking, yet our room clearly had been smoked in. I smelled like smoke after being in the room for only a few minutes. Stains on the sheets, and a washcloth was taped over the smoke detector. I understand this is a value hotel, but there is a difference between value and decent accommodations. We were not the only guests to check out immediately after checking in. I would NOT recommend staying here. The only positive was that the gentleman at the front desk was very nice, and we did get our refund.
