Alpine Village Inn Helen GA

This was a great little hotel. Location is perfect and in walking distance to main street to all shops and restaurants. The staff was great. They were very sweet and attentive to our needs. The rooms are updated and very clean. There's nothing better then to smell fresh clean towels and sheets. We'll be definitely staying here again! Thank you for a great experience!

We came in unsure of what to expect from reading past reviews. Turns out, we were pleasantly surprised to find a clean room, friendly service and a great location to everything. If we wanted to nitpick, we found the internet to be lagging and experienced a lot of buffering. The mattress was comfortable, but you can tell it's at the end of its shelf life. The Alpine Village Inn is pet friendly. You will hear them running around if they are on the second floor. Not loud enough to be a nuisance, but you will know they are there. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend staying at this Inn. We feel we received great value for what we spent. Thanks to the hard working couple who spent Thanksgiving day doing their best to make our stay special .

For those who prefer an authentic and functional stay over luxury, this place is a great find. We had a very pleasant 4-night stay. The room provides all the essentials for a comfortable rest, and everything was spotlessly clean. While it is not a brand-new property, it is very well-maintained, and the host's hospitality is exceptional. Additionally, its proximity to the main attractions and Main Street makes it incredibly convenient. Without a doubt, it offers excellent value for money.

On the bright side, the room was large, the location is great, and it was clean. The problem is the smell. The smell hits you when you open the door. I think it was air freshener but it was terrible. I have allergies, and had specifically asked (via booking.com) that no fragrances be used in my room. Fail! Not only was the smell of the air in the room toxic, but the bedding and towels were drowned in fragrance. Because of my allergies, we travel with an air purifier that couldn't even knock this down. We also travel with our own bedding (thankfully). The room itself and the mattress were so full of fragrance that when we returned home, even after washing the bedding on sanitary, you could smell it. We had to wash everything twice. I know my situation is unique, but the amount of fragrance
