Customer Reviews
Beautiful campground at very reasonable price. It’s well maintained and clean overall. Flat land with shade and bear box, and there are two restrooms on site. Love those little trails leading to the restrooms! They are pit toilets only but very clean with running water. No hand soap so bring your own. Only minor thing is that the campsite is behind the airport so you can hear some small planes and few trains noises.
I enjoyed camping here for the location. Restrooms are clean pit toilets in concrete block buildings. This is a nice little campground in the Tahoe area. The sites are well spread out. The below pictures should help you know if this area would work for you. There is a water fill station right at the entrance and faucets throughout the campground.
Nice quiet little loop, very spacious campsites. Might have trouble with a big rig here, pull off areas are a little small. No services, but the gentle breeze kept us comfy all night. Close to Truckee and 80
Really clean and easily accessible campground in a great “in-between” location that offers easy access to Truckee or a quick drive to Lake Tahoe proper. Was mostly larger rvs and groups but it suffices just fine for my smaller motorcycle and camp setup. Not many bugs when I was there in early June as well. Friday nights offered a decent show of jets flying in and out of the airport which I thought was pretty fun, noise wasn’t an issue! Restrooms were basic but useable, and there was clean potable water available at many locations around the site.
24 rustic campground sites for tents and trailers under 30 feet. We appreciated it not feeling like an RV park with big rigs. Vault toilet, fire ring, broken picnic table, bear locker at the campsite, with water at entrance for filling camper or spigots located around campground loop. No dump station. Weekdays were very quiet. Weekend was a party past 3AM each night from different campsites. All Saturday nights are booked for 2024, yet there were a few empty sites. No penalty for no-shows besides the $20 site fee and minimal reservation fee. Hiss, Boo!
