I was really excited to stay at Aloft for our recent trip to Atlanta, and I'm disappointed to share that I didn't have the best experience. The downtown "Hotel District" location is centrally located to many areas and parking was a breeze, although approx. $32 per night during your stay. ||The staff was super welcoming at check-in and made it a breeze, especially since we checked in late at night after a long travel day. They kindly explained the parking situation, shared our parking pass, highlighted the morning breakfast options, and more. ||We headed up to the 7th floor for our room, and the colorful vibes were joyful. The room was quite spacious and had a great view facing out onto the city, modern aesthetics with comforting elements, and fun pops of bright pinks and chartreuse. The ba
We were passing through the area and chose Aloft because it’s usually a safe, consistent option. I’ve stayed at many Aloft hotels over the years and they’re generally solid; this one just missed the mark in a few areas. It started off rough with a rushed and borderline rude phone call when asking about military pricing. I initially brushed it off, assuming the person answering may have had a line of guests checking in. Unfortunately, that tone carried over when we arrived. The first person we interacted with at check-in seemed pretty brash and uninterested in being there. Ultimately telling us we have to book online. Another staff member ended up helping us and was more neutral and at least somewhat helpful. Before heading to the room, I stopped by the bar to fill our water bottles with
Here’s a polished, balanced review: My stay at the Aloft Downtown Atlanta was mixed. On the positive side, the property was clean, and the parking was convenient and easy to access — both appreciated in a downtown location. However, the hotel is clearly in need of maintenance and updates. Elevator panels were visibly hanging off the walls, and the room furniture felt worn well beyond its useful life. Small details also detracted from the experience, such as the use of chemical-style imitation coffee creamer rather than fresh or higher-quality options. Overall, while cleanliness and parking were strong points, the visible wear and deferred upkeep made the stay feel less polished than expected.
I was booked there through a stay and play for a cheer competition. I received an email on 2/6 confirming my stay and realized the card on file had been stolen and I needed to change it. I called and spoke with group sales, I was told they could not change it but it no problem they did not need the card until check in and they would make a note. Fast forward to Feb 9 when schedules come out and I realized that I didn't need the room for Friday so I called changed my reservation to Sat and Sun again asked about changing card and was told not to worry and there was a note on my reservation. I called on Friday Feb 13 to request an early check in, was told to call back day of arrival and again told not to worry about card. I called Feb 14 and had ny name but on a list for early check in,
Was in town for a concert at State Farm Arena. It was a short walk from the hotel (15 mins ish). The hotel was 2 blocks from the World Coco-Cola and GA Aquarium. Ogwa helped us check in and she was so friendly and upbeat. Welcome us very happily and made check in very smooth. She explained breakfast and on-site amenities. They also have a secured parking lot in the back. The rooms were a little outdated but still clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again if I need to be close to the arena/stadium for future concerts.
