Allen's Creek Resort

My wife and I stayed at Allens Creek briefly. The land is quite nice, but could be much nicer if it were cleaned up a bit. The pad we rented for our camper had little bits of paper and trash, plastic bottles, on it when we moved in. We felt like that was a bit tacky but were willing to overlook it. Some of the people were nice, some were not so nice, and more than a few were just nosy. All in all, we decided to leave after two months. It’s not a bad place, but with some minor changes and a little more professionalism, it could be much better.

Betty Cole and Terry are horrible business owners/managers. I paid a month’s rent plus $30 extra dollars. Still not sure why that was. In all I paid $525. Decided not to stay there (personal reasons) and they refused to give me back my money. I never even stepped foot on that property. I never sign any documents. I was not told about the “no refund” policy until after I asked for my money back. The pair of them lack professional communication skills. In fact they blamed each other then blocked me from all communication.

I loved living there and miss my neighbors - who became like family to me. I was there for 3 years, and only moved due to having more grandbabies and needing more living space with them.

For reference, I am 19 years old and recently moved out for the first time, Allen’s Creek resort was nice enough to let me my fiancé stay, and I can say it has been amazing, it’s always quiet, it stays clean, and in the morning it’s beautiful by the lake. the neighbors are great, management is amazing, and it’s like 10 seconds from the reservoir there’s nothing bad to say. The only one thing one may struggle with here is Internet, but for those who don’t know people living here now qualify for T-Mobile home Internet lite. Which is quite fast and is getting better everyday, no different than living right in the city. 10/10 I would definitely recommend Allen’s Creek Resort.

Please read entire review…this is a response to the very disrespectful person below. “Lady who answers the phone when you call to inquire, RUDE! Place is a dump. Looks like squatters living there. This is NOT a resort or even camping area. keep driving if you pass by it. I heard the theme song for Deliverance when driving through.” The above review is nasty and vindictive because this person obviously didn’t get their way. This is private property with a locked gate operated by a code. But, he snuck in behind someone else and entered illegally. It’s funny to me that he thinks it’s so bad but yet it is always full with a waiting list. Many professional people out here. I am an honest, hard working, very decent person.
