Albion Hotel

Just checked in for the next 2 nights and wanted to leave a practical note for other travellers—mainly so expectations match the product. Positives so far: Front desk staff has been polite, calm, and responsive. When we raised the issue below, they gave a clear explanation without being dismissive. Key concern (functionality, not aesthetics): The guestroom lighting is very limited. There is no ceiling light and the room relies largely on a small number of lamps. Even with every light switched on, the overall brightness is still low. That matters because lighting isn’t just “ambience”—it affects basic room usability (reading, working on a laptop, packing, finding items, and getting ready at night). Very nice hotel in a great location. Beach is a 5 minute walk. Plenty of good restaurants close. There are several busses that run past the hotel so getting into Miami centre is convenient and cheap. Also public bikes are close if you prefer to ride. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel pool was closed for renovation during our stay.

We booked a two-night stay between cruises, which went by too quickly. The location was excellent – a short stroll to the beach and right on the edge of Lincoln Mall. Coming from Australia and not familiar with the area we were pleasantly surprised that everything in South Beach Miami was within walking distance of this hotel, including lots of restaurants and several supermarkets. The room was superb, very clean and spacious, and lovely smelling toiletries in the bathroom. The bed was super comfy. We would definitely stay here again either before or after cruising from Miami and would highly recommend it. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the hotel staff for their excellent service. the receptionists on both shifts were exceptionally friendly, professional, and attentive. The room was very clean and well-maintained — my sincere thanks to the housekeeping team for their excellent work. I also appreciated the politeness and efficiency of the doorman who assisted me with placing my bag in the storage room. The hotel’s location is convenient and makes it easy to reach key attractions and transportation. Overall, the entire team demonstrated a high level of professionalism, and my stay was very pleasant. I would be happy to return in the future.

I was upgraded to a bigger room what was great, at the same time it was soo cold in the room, that I was freezing, could not find any way to warm myself up (only to sit under the blanket), I tried to turn off the conditioner or to make it at max32 degrees Celsius, nothing worked, I was in my jacket in the room; sound proof was awful, I have heard all the noise from the corifor and the guy from the next room, during the night there was a very strange dound in the room like someone is snooring, but that was coming from the electricity behind the TV; breakfast was OK but missing any salade or any green staff, you can see on the picture. water for the tea was awful (some smell or taste of the tubes), so I could not drink it at all, coffee was not tasty; location is good, not far from the bu
