Alamo Motel

After booking a room, I arrived at the hotel during open hours, the “open” sign was on, but someone had posted a paper sign on the door saying “office is closed”. I called the hotel and they didn’t answer. After waiting in the parking lot for over 15 minutes, I booked an airbnb to stay in. Now the hotel is refusing to refund my stay, even though they were not there to let me in. Terrible experience. I recommend staying literally anywhere else in Sheridan. Here’s a video showing the sign and the time I was there (the office is supposed to close at midnight).

Staff their office whenever they feel like. Do not believe the hours posted. Could not check in at 11:00pm, left to find new accommodations, then they called back at 11:40pm and thus say they will not issue a refund.

Very small mom and pop motel in a high tourist area. No frills, and parking can be a problem if your vehicle is too big. However, the rooms were clean and showers were hot. A/c was a little on the weak side, but adequate. No breakfast but McDonald’s is close by. Guy at the front desk was nice and helpful and I’d stay again if I ever needed a room in Sheridan, WY again.

Adequate highway hotel. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. The chap on reception could get a job that makes him happy somewhere else

Do not believe the OLD reviews. They are upgrading this motel and it is excellent. Our room had new carpet, a new fridge, a new microwave,and other upgrades. It was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is a mom & pop type motel and is great at what it is. Don't expect a sauna or hot tub or pool. This isn't it. But for a well run, upgraded two-star place it is excellent.
