Adventures of Putman Lake

Just a really nice campground .Greg the owner just nice guy the campground clean and people in the campground friendly have a great lake for fishing give putnam lake a 5 star rating hope to make it back again in the spring looking at a seasonal. This is a great campsite if you have an ATV or dirt bike. It's close to Little O Trailhead, which is primarily why I picked it. I had no idea that they have their own little ORV area to ride around in, and that was a lot of fun. They also have a shower, which if you ride, you really want to have. Furthermore for the people who don't ride, there are other things to do. They have a beach, canoes, a paddle boat, ect. Overall this is a very family friendly place.

Beautiful campground. Had lake front view. The lake itself is clear with sandy bottom. They have a swimming platform and a huge jumping pillow. The owners have kayaks and canoes that you can use to go around in. Definitely will be staying here again.

We stayed this past weekend and could not have had a better time. We were able to rent the cottage as we do not have our own camper. While not in perfect pristine condition (what is in a totally wooded campground) it was very rustic, clean, and comfortable for our needs. The owners, Kevin and Vicky go out of their way to ensure you are having a good time. We arrived late Friday night and as we were unloading the car they were busy building a campfire for our enjoyment after our long trip there. You don't see that at KOA or Good Sam campgrounds. We cooked out every meal on the grill over the fire pit, we enjoyed the free kayaks on the lake and took long long hikes and bike rides. All in all a great experience. We can't wait to go back.

The new owners are great! Very kind and accommodating. They sell campfire wood at a better value than any roadside bundled firewood seller. The campground is ATV friendly with trails and a scramble area on the grounds and Lincoln Hills trailhead just a few miles down on dirt roads and Tin Cup a little farther, but very manageable, maybe 20 minutes away by ATV on mostly dirt roads. Be a good camper and you can have a fire late into the night. I can't wait to see how they improve the place in the coming years. Lots of potential and they have a nice vision.
