Adirondack Retreat Inn & Suites

My father and I have stayed at this location(Lake George) for a few years in a row to attend The Adirondack Balloon festival. |The rooms are clean and comfortable. Bathroom was fully stocked with all our needs.|The staff is very accommodating and friendly. My Dad is elderly and we need a 1st floor room and we have received that every year.|The only thing that is a bit challenging can be the parking. We are able to now navigate this after coming here in the past. |We will stay with America Best Inn & Suites Lake George next year for sure!

This was a great place. Conveniently located with many options within walking distance for food and coffee. Although it sits on the highway, was very quiet. There was a motorcycle rally in the area. Some stayed at this location. They are loud but they were respectful. We never heard a neighbor or people going on all night. The amenities were nice. The heated pool was immaculate. There was a playground, ping pong table and grills. Picnic tables. || I have a bad back so I really appreciated the comfortable mattress. The room was very clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. I would stay again.

Room was dated, even had real keys not cards. No microwave in room. They had one outside by the vending machine even though it was written as an amenity in the room. For the cost we paid for this room, you should have a microwave. Room was cleaned but white comforter was stained yellow on edges. |There are no elevators. When we arrived, there were only 3 cars in the parking lot. We asked if we could have a downstairs room because she had us going upstairs. She had 20 or more packets on the counter of people that they were expecting. She refused when I asked if she good trade since we arrived before 20 or more people. She didn’t want to, said some had asked for downstairs rooms too. I believe she didn’t want to redo any of her packets.

Very average value. We booked a 1 bedroom suite in order to be able to separate the kids sleeping spaces and were assured it would fit two pack and plays for small kids. Not only was the door to the bedroom not a real door (has slats in it so no noise separation) but we had to literally move furniture to be able to fit the 2nd pack and play in the bedroom and still be able to access the bathroom. Our room definitely was in need of remodeling and beds need to be replaced (can feel the springs). The picnic tables also need some tlc before they collapse completely. Pros include the playground for kids, a very nice touch. And despite everything being very old, it did appear to be clean. It was also a good location to walk to restaurants or coffee shops.
